The Croton Falls Fire District is proud to announce the launch of its new official website: www.crotonfallsfiredistrict.gov. This newly designed site serves as a central resource for residents seeking information about the operations of the Fire District and the Board of Fire Commissioners.

Established in 1939, the Croton Falls Fire District is responsible for providing fire protection services to portions of the Towns of North Salem, Carmel, and Southeast. The District is managed by a five-member Board of Fire Commissioners, elected by residents to oversee the district’s budget, facilities, equipment, and operational policies.

“Our goal with this new website is to make information more accessible to the public, increase transparency, and improve community engagement,” said Jeff Daday, Chairman of the Board of Fire Commissioners. “We encourage residents to visit the site to learn more about how the District operates and how they can get involved.”

The website features a wide range of information including:

Meeting schedules and minutes
Budget and financial documents
Information about the Board of Fire Commissioners
Contact details and public notices
District policies and procedures

Residents can also find guidance on attending monthly Board meetings, which are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the North Salem firehouse. These meetings are open to the public, and community participation is welcomed.

The current Board of Fire Commissioners includes Jeff Daday (Chairman), Angelo D’Agostino, Bob Daros, Jason Nickson, and James Outhouse. Supporting them are Secretaries Marion Falk and Jason Nickson, Treasurer Joanne Weber, and several staff managing facilities and apparatus.

The launch of the new website reflects the Board's ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and public service. Whether residents are interested in reviewing financial reports, understanding how the district functions, or staying informed about upcoming meetings and decisions, the new site offers a user-friendly experience tailored to the needs of the community.
